This is a completely biased opinion - my grandparents have a cottage down the road from here, and I've been coming up for the last 34 years each summer. It's a part of my childhood. The museum is always fun to go through, despite the number of times I've been; you can even climb the tower for a small fee and look out over the point and lake. It's more than worth it. Now, with kids of my own it's fun to go into the old school house and show them how school USED to be, albeit way, way before my time!

Beautiful lighthouse with great artifacts of the original era. Inexpensive as well.
Great place. The history of the lighthouse was very integrating and the tour in the lighthouse was fantastic with an amazing of the water, also with easy access to the water . One of my favorite lighthouses to visit.
Beautiful light house. County historical society does a wonderful job with upkeep.
